Candice Johnson

Kids Director

Candice grew up in Abbotsford, BC and studied Early Childhood Education in Vancouver before eventually making her way to the Okanagan with her husband Michael. During her first few years here, she homeschooled her daughters and founded Sticks & Stones, a local homeschool group — a season that deepened her love for kids, learning, and community. When her home church, Westside, announced a church plant in Kelowna, joining the team felt like a natural next step, and she's been serving in kids ministry at Praxis ever since.

Candice believes the early years are some of the most formative in a child's life and cares deeply about helping kids build a real foundation of the gospel and a love of Christ. She also has a genuine heart for the people around her — whether that's investing in her team, meeting new families, or simply being part of a community where people feel supported.

At home you can find her cheering on her two daughters — Dani, an avid hockey player, and Brooklyn, who is working her way through taekwondo. In her spare time she enjoys biking, baking, and learning piano and guitar.
