OPPORTUNITY for Yard/Property Maintenance Associate October 2025 The Estate of NC Derriksan, located on the beautiful westside of Okanagan Lake, is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Worker to join our team who will perform general maintenance, yard and garden work, repairs and landscaping at our various properties. Year-round position with seasonal hour adjustments. Rate: Dependent on experience, $25.00 + per hour, with standard holiday and sick days, full benefits after 3 months. Duties/Responsibilities: • Inspects and identifies properties, equipment or machines in need of repair. • Maintains landscaping to include lawns, flower beds and gardens. • Snow removal. • Maintains saltwater pool and water systems. • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. • Performs routine maintenance on building systems. • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. • Maintains supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to follow instructions and report in a positive and proactive manner. • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. • Ability to use hand and power tools, plus yard motorized equipment. • Able to be a team player and work independently. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record Check. • Related experience preferred, Certification of Trades would be an asset. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing, walking, kneeling/bending and driving. • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward and high spaces. • Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
