• We are seeking an experienced Gardner and Property Maintenance person to join our Team who will perform general maintenance and daily upkeep for both flower and vegetable gardens, natural and close to nature yards, as well as equipment and tool upkeep and repairs along with some landscaping projects at our various properties. Year-round position with seasonal hour adjustments. Rate: Dependent on experience, $25.00+ per hour, with standard holiday and sick days, potential for full benefits after 3 months if working over 25 hours per week. Duties/Responsibilities: • Maintains landscaping to include lawns, flower beds and gardens. • (Properties: Residence, garages, storage, commercial buildings and undeveloped). • Performs routine maintenance on building systems - power washing, windows… • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. • Handyman - performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures, lights, plumbing basic, water systems, etc… • Inspects and identifies properties, equipment or machines in need of repair. • Snow removal. • Maintains saltwater pool and water systems. • General errands for property as needed. • Cleans and assists with upkeep of all Properties. • Maintains supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. • Performs other related duties as requested. • Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to follow instructions and report in a positive and proactive manner. • Experience as a grounds keeper (garden, mowing, edging, pruning…) • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. • Ability to use hand and power tools, plus yard motorized equipment. • Able to be a team player AND work independently. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record Check. • Related experience Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing, walking, kneeling/bending and driving. • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward and high spaces. • Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
